I have been off the depo for a few months now, this morning after using the rest room I saw like light pinkish spotting after I wiped. Its now 5pm I went to the restroom and completely nothing. I cramp sometimes and my fiancee have only unprotected sex. What could cause these symptoms?
Hi, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. In the current scenario, if you have resumed normal menstrual cycles after stopping the depo shot, pregnancy is the most likely possibility with the symptoms you have described. Please go for a HPT with a fresh early morning sample if you are at least 3-7 days after your expected period. Else, you can also go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres. Further, a trans-vaginal sonogram can help to detect the cause. If pregnancy is negative, hormone imbalances is the next likely cause and should be investigated to plan further management. Hope this helps.
