What Causes Light Vaginal Bleeding After Some Discomfort In The Lower Pelvis?
I am over 60 and this morning I noticed light vaginal blood on toilet paper. Yesterday felt a little discomfort in lower pelvis. Had did a little strenuous exercise over weekend but this frightened me. I had been diagnosed with low phase (1) of HPV six months ago but was told to follow up again after Christmas. I am not sexually active and have not been for 20 years. Could you tell me whats going on?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Vaginal bleeding with abdominal discomfort could be due to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). However, considering your age and previous history, it could be due some pathology in the cervix or uterus which could have caused this. You need a per speculum examination and an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and pelvis to know what could be the cause for this, and then it can be appropriately addressed to. Kindly consult Gynecologist with the reports for clinical evaluation and appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
