You describe: alcohol affecting mentation and sleep. These conditions might not be reversible. Ever. Lumps on vessels might be just from bruises. If someone has very severe liver disease from alcohol, the ability to clot is messed up. This might be reversible with quitting, or it could continue to get worse. If the liver is quite bad, it's inability to clear toxins produces impairment in thinking. This might correct with quitting but it might not. Interaction between sedatives (alcohol, sleeping medication, narcotics) can be fatal. I hope we have helped with information anyway.
