What Causes Little Bumps On My Lips And Cracks At The Corners Of My Mouth?
In the last days my lib corners have little cuts and every time i open my mouth they crack and hurt. But i am used to this since it happens once in a while. What i am not used to, is that my lips started having a weird trxture like little bumps that you can barley see, which feel very odd. what are the little bumps and how can i treat it?
Bumps on lips and cracks at the corners of the mouth are commonly caused by low iron, vitamin B2 (riboflavin), or zinc. Take home-made nutritious food rich in iron and vitamin B. Take green leafy vegetables, nuts, and seeds. You can also take supplements. Dry skin causes cracks in cold weather. Avoid licking your lips. Apply herbal moisturizer or lip balm.
To be on the safer side, get clinically examined and get tests done to rule out cold sores (Herpes simplex virus). If the report is positive for HSV, you will be treated with oral acyclovir or antiviral creams if it is not recurrent. Keep drinking water. Keep yourself well hydrated. Use shea butter or coconut oil to keep lips moist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
