Jaundice is a manifestation of underlying liver problem, the cause of which needs to be evaluated and treated. so as the disease progresses from hepatitis phase to cirrhosis the prognosis deteriorates. from what you said now cirrhosis and pneumonia likely multiorgan involvement, the prognosis may not be good but it depends upon investigations. kindly update us with investigations so that we can advise more. nowadays we can do liver transplantation if only problem is liver and other systems are normal..
