Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Allergic
angioedema of the lip caused by some unknown allergen and in case if you are not getting relieved from the symptoms of
allergy the cause of it can be continuous exposure to the allergen..
You should consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can advise you to get allergic testing done like RAST test that is antibody specific test,
patch test and food challenge test and once the exact cause of allergy is ruled out preventing exposure to the allergen can help in resolution of the symptoms..
An
immunotherapy can be given to reduce the severity of allergy symptoms and along with it anti allergics,
steroids can also be given..
Do cool compresses over the lip..
Avoid licking or sucking the lip..
Apply a thick coat of petroleum jelly over the lip..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
