What Causes Loose Motions In A Baby?

My 6months+ baby has been passing loose motion for a week plus now, at first doctor recommended vizylac spy 3.5ml. It didn t stop so i was given Z&D DS20 added to the first drug but he s still stooling though not like before. The stool isn t watery but mucus like, it s been unstable,a times, normal stool a times loose motion. Plz wat do i do bcos he s loosing weight

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your 6+ month old baby loosing weight due to loose motions. Given Vizylac 3.5 ml, did not help hence added on Z&D DS, getting better but yet the stools are normal sometime and sometimes watery with mucus.
The history is suggestive of an intestinal infection.
I would advise you the following:
First of all, send the stool for examination.
Continue the medicines as advised above.
May need a short course of an antibiotic and metronidazole.
Take care of hydration.
He shall be fine.
