What Causes Loose Stools After Taking Omeprazole Dr 40 Mg?

I had a bad acid reflux system and the ER doctor put me on omeprazole dr 40mg. I have had loose stools since i started taking the medicine. I belch more and the stomach cramps have since stopped. Having a colonoscopy this week. Going to see my doctor, also. DOEs this medicine have this side effect.

one of the side effects of omeprazole is loose stools and gas.if they are mild no need to worry and you can go ahead for colonoscopy for further management.but of stools are toomuch watery you need to consult your treating physician.
