What Causes Loose Stools After Taking Milk?

Hi I have problem with my digestive system. Whenever I have milk, I get loose motions. I am from India and recently moved to USA. In India I used to have lot of milk but nothing happened ever, but it seems in USA milk doesn t suit me. Is there any difference between milk of USA and India? Is there any medication or precaution to cure that?

Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

Your symptoms are caused by colonopathy.
To relieve your symptoms you should follow these guidelines:
1. Avoid spicy, acidic and fast foods.
2. Avoid alcoholic or carbonated drinks, coffee and milk.
3. Quit smoking(if you do smoke).
4. Take proton pump inhibitor medications such as Nexium.

Consult your gastroenterologist.

All the best.
Dr. Behar.
