What Causes Loose Stools And Pain In My Abdomen?

I woke up last night at about 330 in the morning with loose stools and pain in my abdomen. This morning it hurt to walk and I had diarrhea. I feel like I have done 100 sit-ups and it hurts to touch my lower abdomen. I was at a benefit yesterday with homemade soups and desserts. I did not end up eating a lot. Last night I had two glasses of merlot. I am not vomiting but am sore in my abdomen. I have had a little diarrhea and am tired. I am keeping water, milk, toast, and cereal down. Do you think it was something I ate or should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection.

I suggest taking over the counter option like Imodium.

I also recommend taking daily probiotics.

I suggest to drink liquids and eat a plain diet with toast, bananas, apple juice and rice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
