What Causes Loss Of Memory And Confusion While Born With Spina Bifida?

Hi I'm 24 years old, born with spina bifida, have had a shunt since birth had a few shunt revisions since it was put in, lately I've been experience a lot of shooting pains, tiredness, coffusion, loss of memory and when I was in school, I was struggling in math and other areas. I've seen a neurologist and I was told that it was just migraines, does this seem like a logical explanation?
