What Causes Loss Of Memory In A 85 Year Old?
Hello Doctor,
My grandmother is about 85 years old. She keeps forgetting and repeats every 5 mins. She started having this problem few years ago and now it's gotten worse. I live in the US and really need some advice on doctors or hospitals in Bhubaneswar, Orissa.

I am sorry to hear about you grandmother who is having symptoms of severe forgetfulness. This could be the signs of Alzheimer's dementia. I do not know of any doctors in Bhubaneswar, Orissa but a family doctor or an internist can treat your grandmother. In my practice I usually start with Aricept and then add Namenda to help with Alzheimer's. These medications help but they do not cure the memory problems.
