mymother was found by my father one evening, she lost consciousness while she was in the bathroom. My father picked her up and asked her several questons to see if she was okay. My mother was not aware of who she was or her surroundings. She remebers that her big toe hurt as well.

Unfortunately she needs to schedule some test and examination to find out the cause of confusion
She needs blood test to rule out anemia or metabolic disorders
Then a brain CT scan and a brain EEG is needed
If they are normal you have nothing to worry and probably that episode won't happen again
