What Causes Loss Of Sensation In Clitoris?

I have recently lost sensation in my clitoris, change has been extremely sudden...just weeks, previously I could orgasm extremely easily with clitoral stimulation and multiple times.I have just had the merena IUD fitted and this seems to stem from here.I am also engaging in a lot of sexual activity with a new partner...sex was amazing until this has happened...any thoughts please?
