What Causes Loss Of Voice?

I lost my voice for two weeks. The GP and the specialist say is just laryngitis but I don t see any improvements. What can I do .... Is two weeks not too long ? They put a camera and through my nose and they can not see anything unusual . Now I m on solone and alvesco for the past four day

take strict voice rest, steam inhalation. you should start with steroids,antihistaminics and antaacids. stop smoking if you do. if you don't have bad cough ,it will recover soon. if you have cough add take an antibiotic course too. if you don't have any cervical swelling nothing to worry. if it doesn't mprove you can get a chest x ray done. voice loss may be because of laryngeal and vocal cord edema.
