What Causes Low HB And High Iron Content In An Infant?
Hi, I did a CBC for my son (16 months) and the doctor told me that he has a low HB (11.2) but that the iron is too high for such a low HB ( over 60 he told me) he told me he wants to do more tests but i cant wait till then what could it be and is it serious ??

First of all, this is not low hemoglobin as per WHO standards.
But the iron levels are almost double than what is expected.
I suggest that your son might require evaluation for hemochromatosis.
