What Causes Low Blood Oxygen In Condition Like Alzheimer S Disease?
My mother is 90 has Alzheimer and has low blood oxygen on and off and with various activity. She is not distressed or uncomfortable. High appetite. She was as low as 63 and caretakers got it up to 75. She has been to the doctor recently - last Thursday. We did a chest xray which did not indicate any obvious issues. Still waiting for blood test results and an overnight blood oxygen monitoring test. What might be the cause of these symptoms. Don t know if I should take her to the ER since she is not uncomfortable or distressed

Low oxygen values are not related to any brain disorder
In my opinion further pulmonary examination should be done
Sleep apnea can be accused but it cause short episodic low oxygen levels
