What Causes Low Haemoglobin Levels While Having A Bladder Infection?

My dad had a prostate scrape in early December, he then got ill over Christmas and had blood work and it was found that he had a slight infection. He was given antibiotics and went for blood work when he finished the meds and is now just staring to feel better. He found out from the last set of blood work that his hemoglobin in low. Should I be worried.

The urinary infection is not going to lower the hemoglobin, but it is related to blood loss during the prostate surgery. Management with high iron diet, iron syrup or capsules along with urinary infection control will recover him fast.
