Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I have started training 3years ago - doing a lot of aerobic and strength training. Training 5-6times a week for about 90minutes now. I have always had low blood pressure and weak pulse. Since I started training and lost about 2.5stones and as I got fitter, the resting heart rate decreased. I am lately having days where my heart rate would not increase above 65%HRMax - that is with having a lot of rest, training 3times a week at the moment. Could it be a sign of overtraining? I do feel very weak and faint lately, I am experiencing higher volume of stress and wake up few times at night - find it difficult to sleep all night through. What could it be? What would be the best to do? THank you. Kate
Dear Kate, if your symptoms persist, it's best to perform a rest ECG first of all and secondly a stress-ECG. An echocardiography it's also useful if you have never performed it before.
