What Causes Low Levels Of Estrogen And Progesterone In The Blood?
Hi have severe problems with menopause and spinal DDD Bp 160/120! Can t take hrt has made me worse high cortisol as we ll. Should I take propranolol for bp ? Take thyroxine for hypothyroidism.feel so unwell, last bloods showed low estrogen and progesterone
Hello and thank you for asking! I can understand your concern. During menopausal period the ovaries produce very low levels of estrogen and progresterone, hrt is indicated to be used during the early stage of menopause (within the first 5 years) and a very detailed clinical examination and family history is mandatory before taking the decision to start it. Regarding your blood pressure, it is high and needs a therapy by your treating physician who takes into consideration physical examination and other biochemical results (renal function ect). So i wouldn't advice taking propranolol for the blood pressure without the prescription of the physician. Kind regards, Dr,Mirjeta
