What Causes Low Platelet Count In Blood?

hello doctor, i am sameer from Nepal my mom died last week by brain hamrage and doctor said that it is because of low count of platelate in blood. please tell me about this. i want nomore death caused by brain hamrage.......tell me what is the causes of low platelates in blood?

Platelets are blood cells whose function along with the coagulation factors is to stop bleeding.
Low platelet count in blood causes bleeding as your father suffered.
I am sorry for that.

My dear friend , there are very huge list of low platelet but i am mentioning some common causes like
Vitamin B12 deficiency,folate (iron) deficiency
Aplastic anemia
viral infections—Dengue,certain medications, enlarged spleen
Leukemia
Autoimmune disorders
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)
Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP)
Hemolytic uremic syndrome
Disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC)
