What Causes Low Testosterone Levels In Body?

I have been having touble producing testosterone even with 4 pumps of Androgel - around 4.3 (42), I also having issues with Thyroid TSH 10.3, along with that a blood work up of my vitamins show very low B12. Is the deficient of B12 a possible link to low Testosterone? Any other possible links with described information?

Hello,

You have High TSH and this means that you have hypothyroidism.

Here I find the link between your health problems. Low thyroid or hypothyroidism cause low testosterone.

Men with hypothyroidism commonly present with Increase in fatigue or decreased energy levels, Decreased libido/sex drive, decreased muscle strength.

These are symptoms of hypothyroidism but at the same time mirror the presenting symptoms of low testosterone.

This is because the two conditions tend to accompany each other. For this reason, the solution is Testosterone + Thyroid hormone Replacement Therapy.

About your low B12, I can say that there is a high prevalence of B12 deficiency in hypothyroid patients and replacement of B12 leads to improvement in symptoms.

So to resume: There is a link between your three conditions, low B12, hypothyroidism, and low T.

Replacement therapy for each condition will stabilize your symptoms and help you feel better.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
