What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain Post Intercourse?

For the past couple of days, my side has been hurting every time my boyfriend and I have sex. The first day wasn’t too bad as the pain subsided after we were done. However, tonight my lower abdomen hurts and it’s a bit difficult to use the restroom- #2 wise. Is there something wrong, or something that I need to be aware of?

Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are having pain after intercourse. So pelvic inflammatory disease and endometriosis like causes need to be ruled out. If vaginal discharge history present than provide detail about that your per speculum examination and USG scan can be done for further work up. Consult gynecologist for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
