What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain When On Cerazette?
I was induced and had my son quickly nearly4 months ago, i started taking cerazette after 6 weeks although i have missed pills and had random bleeds. For a few weeks iv had aching discomfort and stitch like pains in particularly my left lower abdomen and upper left tummy. The initial weeks post birth i had a slight odour from vagina which disappeared, but does occasionally come back. What could be causing these pains? Is it all my insides settling back into place?
Would advise you to consult your GP to get examined and tested for possible
vaginal infections like bacterial vaginosis, vaginal candidiasis and trichomoniasis.
Taking cerazette will not cause pain in abdomen or vaginal discharge; you may continue taking the pill. But the cause underlying cause for discharge and pain need to be diagnosed at the earliest.
At the doctor expect to get a full PV examination(vaginal swabs may be collected to test for pH, bacteria, fungus, parasites), ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis and routine blood workup.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain When On Cerazette?
Hi, Would advise you to consult your GP to get examined and tested for possible vaginal infections like bacterial vaginosis, vaginal candidiasis and trichomoniasis. The vaginal pH changes during after pregnancy, which means even women post delivery are susceptible. The intermittent malodorous vaginal discharge along with lower abdominal pain can also be caused by pelvic inflammatory disease.
