I am 27 yrs old and have been experiencing a lot of pain in lower abdomen and pelvic area since last 4-5 monthly cycles. It starts few days before or during the peroids. The gynecologist told me that its Endometriosis and I have a cyst of 2 cm in my ovary. She has adviced me to take Novelon for 3 months (3 cycles of 21 days each with 1 week gap in between each cycle).
Is is safe to take Novelon and will it actually help to cure the cyst? What are its side effects? Can it also affect the prospects of conceiving in future? What should be the treatment for this problem?
