General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for query. I understand your concern. I feel you should keep on doing rehabilitation exercises regularly except during pain episodes...Acute exacerbation of pain followed physical stress, bending & lifting heavy things. While acute exacerbation rest/ fomentation, & painkillers are helpful. Spinal spondylosis makes the spine a bit delicate.. while palying hocky demands lot of running , bending.. so your patticipation can be decided by sports medical practitioner before the session. What you can do is to try & strengthen the concerned muscles to support weakened spine. Be positive. Thanks.
