What Causes Lump And Severe Pain In My Rectal Area?

Good Evening. Yesterday Morning I woke up to immense pain coming from the rectal area. More of my right butt check close to the anus. And with every movement I made caused excruciating pain and I noticed I have developed a lump close to the anus. Problem is the pain is too much and I have been constipated because of the pain around the area. What might it be and what can I do to help relieve the pain and get rid of the lump?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted you history of development of an excruciating painful swelling near the anus in the morning yesterday.
This is indicating of a cellulitis in the offing, causing pain and all other symptoms like unable to walk and so on.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
- Get examined by a General Surgeon for clinical evaluation.
Get a prescription for an antibiotic, metronidazole and anti-inflammatory medicines to relieve pain and edema.
Sitz bath 3 to 4 tines in a day so that you can have soothing effect.
Laxative.
Wait for 3 days, if the pus develops, you need a small procedure of incision and drainage. If the surgeon founds a low anal fistula he may operate to excise the tract.
