What Causes Lump Below The Clavicle And Protrusion In The Rib?

I just recently noticed a lump about 2 inches below my left clavicle. I saw a picture of myself and thats when I noticed the bump. It doesn t hurt to touch it. It s very hard and doesn t move. It feels like an anterior rib, but with a big bump on it. I m not sure if its a calcification. It s definitely not symmetrical with the right side. Maybe theres something under the rib thats growing/swollen and protruding my rib out? Any ideas to what this may be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for medical and physical examination. based from your description, it could just be a bony protrusion or prominence. it could also be a cyst (a sebaceous or a keratinous type), a fibroma or a lipoma. diagnostic imaging such as x-ray or ct-scan, along with management (medical and/or surgical) will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
