What Causes Lump In My Elbows?

Hi I just noticed a soft lump in the crook of my elbows (both). I have not started to panic because I have been eating a lot of sodium so it may be associated to that. I was recently diagnosed w hashimoto disease (lumpy thyroid) but its inactive last it was check. Could these bumps that come and go be associated to my thyroid or too much sodium? My mom gets these large bumps behind her knees and I know she has thyroid issues from jher younger years. Any cause for alarm.
