Good afternoon: I am a 26 year old male. I was informed by a girl who I had slept with that she had tested positive for chlamydia. I went to the doctors, obtained a prescription and was treated. I had noticed burning during urination and dull aching pain in the testicles during the interim. These symptoms have not really subsided since treatment. In addition to this, I discovered a lump on the lower back portion of my left testicle. It is hard, seems attached to the testicle, and is almost vein like in shape. The lump appears to be more pronounced at certain times. I am obviously concerned that I have testicular cancer or that there is some kind of infection that the medication did not properly treat. I recently finished graduate school and am enrolled in one of the state high deductible plans. My insurance, however, will kick in in two months through my new job and the coverage will be considerably better. Is this something requiring immediate treatment from a urologist? Does this sound like testicular cancer? Thank you.
