lump on top of jugular notch. doesnt move when i squeeze on top of it or hurt either. its directly an inch above the sternum to the right. the left side feels flat and when i rub my hand from left to right i notice the lump right after i pass my esophagus area. Should i be worried?
A lump in this location should be always checked with possible enlarged lymph node. Such node is usually rounded, movable and painless. Can indicate some inflammation or even a cancer. That is why it should not be left alone. I suggest you to consult your doctor with this issue. Soft tissues ultrasound should be done and biopsy considered.
Hope this will help. Regards.
