Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 1 year old grandson has a knot in his left thigh and will not bend his left knee. He can walk but keeps his leg straight. He will push your hand away when you touch the knot in the thigh but doesn t cry unless you try to bend his leg. He had a Rocephin shot almost 3 weeks ago. Took him to Urgent Care and they took x-rays and said he may just have a contusion. It hasn t gotten any better and there are no signs of a contusion.
Hi....by what you quote I feel that the kid might have developed a fibrosis over the area after a contusion. This is what you are as able to feel like a lump. Sometimes these fibrosed tissue can entangle with the tendons and restrict movements. I suggest you get an orthopedic surgeon consultation and in my Opinion an MRI if the leg will be conclusive. Regards - Dr. Sumanth
