What Causes Lump Under The Jaw Area?

I have had a small, pea sized lump under the skin in the jaw area where my upper and lower jaw bones meet. It is a little tender to the touch. My concern is that I have a long history of basal/squamous cell cancers on my face. I probably should just go see my family doctor. What might this be?

Hi,Dear,thanks for the query to HCM.
The cause of the lump under the jaw,is mostly a lymphnode enlargement.The cause of it needs to be studied by FNAC,as your have ?cancer tumour history for long time.
I would advise you to consult ER Surgeon, who would take all due care to investigate and treat it accordingly.
