What Causes Lumps And Soreness In The Labia Minora?
I noticed the day before yesterday that after using the restroom when I wiped there was a bit of tenderness to my right labia minora. It almost felt like I had scratched myself. Yesterday it felt a little more sore so I grabbed a mirror to take a look and my right labia minora was swollen. Today the swelling is less but there is definitely a bump within the right labia minora. No burning or itching just tender on the minora.
The possible causes of painful bump at labia minora are: - Bartholin's cyst or abscess - Inflammation or infection of local tissue due to friction, scratching etc - Infected Gartner duct cyst etc.
By clinical examination only the exact cause of the problem can be identified and treatment can bet taken accordingly. So, if the symptoms persist better to consult your Gynecologist once and get examined.
Meanwhile sitz bath with lukewarm water and disinfectant like dettol liquid, analgesic and anti inflammatory drugs can help to decrease the pain and swelling to some extent.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
