Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, today I noticed two little balls behind each ear of my 8 years old boy. He has not been sick, and they are very hard, I confused them at the beggining with a bone. He says that they are painful. They just appeared today and he has not been sick at all. What could it be?
This could be a simple case of post-viral lymphadenopathy which is a very common scenario and you need not worry about this if the kid is not sick or is not having any chronic fever. Sometimes even dandruff on the scalp can cause this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
