My 8 year old son has 2 lumps on his head that are causing discomfort. They appear to be under the skin, above the bone and one is the size of a quarter. There is no redness or a mark to question a bruise or a wound? He didn't hit his head? I am concerned and perplexed....I need some advice!
In this location most common are sebaceus cysts. It is a benign lesion which does not turn into cancer. So no need to worry. However some of sebacues cysts can get infected and lead to inflammation. That is why it is good to have them removed with small incisions.
Hope this will help. Regards.
