Hi Doc, I am a 25 female. I had a hard bowel movement few days ago and had a bit of blood in my bowel motion, thought it was a anal fissure, did sitz bath and took some laxatives. Bowel motion seems to be fine now with no blood. but i notice 2 small lumps, one next to my anal area and a another near to my vagina. the lumps are tender and painful to touch. What do you think this will be? is it a concern? thank you
Hi thanks for asking question. You are taking correct treatment for anal fissure. Avoid spicy food. Drink more water. Take more fruits. Here your lump is painful to touch,so strong possibilities of being small abscess. Take more fibre containing diet. Start augmentin 625 mg 1 bd for 5 days. For pain relief take combiflem. If still no relief and it is increasing size then incision and drainage procedure has to done. I think this will be the best suggestion to you. Thank you.
