General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

it is best if he will consult with a physician especially with the clinical picture you have given me. if the coughing up of blood is in significant amount, persistent and increasing in frequency, this is a matter of urgency. further investigation should be directed to know the primary source of his coughed out blood. a complete physical examination (including his neck and shoulder area) will also be done. other diagnostics and management (medical or surgical) will be directed accordingly. blood examinations (such as CBC) and initial CXR will also be done.

hope this helps.

good day!!
