What Causes Lungs Pain When Suffering From Cough?
Hi I have got a cough 5 days now. In the two last days it stopped being so much productive. I feel some pain on my lungs when i am taking in more air and i would like to know whether do i have something serious and if i should see a doctor. I am taking medicines for mucus, fever and headache.

Thanks for your question on HCM. Pain on coughing can be due to pleurisy. Since parietal pleura is pain sensitive so any inflammation of parietal pleura cause pain on coughing. I will advice you to undergo chest x ray 1st. And consult pulmonologist to rule out pleurisy. Pleurisy can be due to pneumonia or TB or pleural effusion. You should start antibiotics with your medicines after consultation of pulmonologist.
