What Causes Menopausal Symptoms, milk Secretion And Weight Gain?
I have an under active thyroid and have been on eltroxin for 15 years. I heard of the Wilton s temperature programme and have been on it for one full months cycle. The effects on my body have been quite extreme. Possibly menopausal (I m 49) but am secreting milk and have gained almost 4 kg and am having hot flushes, none of which I was having before. Are these common with this naturopathic programme???Warmest Jo
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Hypothyroidism is associated with increased prolactin hormone levels which lead to secretion of milk from the breasts, or galactorrhea. Deranged thyroid hormone levels also lead to weight gain. I would suggest you to get your thyroid hormone levels and prolactin levels done and further management should be done accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
