Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a clinical examination by your treating Doctor[Neurologist]and do few investigations like this [fasting blood sugar, lipid profile, TSH, vitamin panels, MRI scan and Carotid ultrasound]to confirm it.

2)Do take prescribed medications as per clinical findings only.

Do take few lifestyle modifications like this -

1)Try to maintain a healthy blood pressure.

2)Keep your cholesterol in check. A healthy, low-fat diet and cholesterol-lowering medications if you need them may reduce your risk of vascular dementia, probably by reducing the amount of plaque deposits building up inside your brain's arteries.

3)Try to prevent or control diabetes. Avoiding the onset of diabetes, with diet and exercise.

4)Try to quit smoking. Smoking tobacco damages blood vessels everywhere in your body.

5)Get physical exercise. Regular physical activity should be a key part of everyone's wellness plan.

Hope that helps
