I have microscopic bumps on my lips. They don't hurt or anything I've had them for awhile. I use to wash them with antibacterial soap and they would be gone. But, now they won't go away. I think my boyfriend has them also but I'm almost certain we don't have herpes. I don't know if its my cosmetics or something else.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain microscopic bumps over the lips that are painless, persistent and does not resolve seems to be Fordyces Granules that are raised sebaceous glands that produces sebum [oil] and ae present in large numbers over the lips and can be seen elevated in many adults.. They are harmless and does not cause any problem and are only cosmetically not good.. You need not to worry and consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and in case of fordyce's spots no treatment is otherwise neede and in case if they do not look cosmetically fine laser treatment can be done to remove them..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
