What Causes Mild Pain And A Dark Bruise On The Fingers While Holding Objects?

every so often when I hit a finger (any finger) just right, either by grabbing a door knob/handle, or drawer handle, or even the steering wheel of the car, i get a dull pain and a black and blue bruise is the result. It s never hard, just grabbing the item as anyone would.

Hello,

As per your case history of a bruise on the finger, my treatment advice is-
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days
If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
