What Causes Mild Spotting On 12th-15th Day After Periods?
I am experiencing very mild spotting/bleeding around the 12th-15th day after my period starts e.g. this month my period started on 4 May and ended on 11th. Today I have spotting. This happened for the very 1st time last month and I m concerned because this has never happened before. I also generally have very very slight abdominal pain however this is very normal for me. Please could you provide any information re cause and required action if any? Thanks for your help, Anne
Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. From the description you have given, it appears as though you are experiencing ovulation bleeding/spotting. Ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next menstrual period and this can be accompanied by pain and spotting or fresh bleeding for a couple of days, known as 'Mittelschmerz'. This is normal and does not need any action as such. If, however, you encounter excessive bleeding or pain or any significant symptoms, you should get help from a specialist. Hope this helps.
