For the last several months I have had a discharge from my right nipple in three spots when the nipple is squeezed. This wouldn t raise any major alarms for me, except that from one of the ducts it looks black and when I wipe it with a qtip or a gauze pad it looks blue. No green tint to it. the other two spots have clear or milky white fluid. There as a little tenderness on occasion, but no lumps that seem abnormal or anything I can thin of. Should I be particularly concerned?
I can understand your concern. The color of discharge from breast is not an indicator of normal or abnormal condition. As far as it is coming when you mechanically stimulate it, it should not be worried about. Do not try to squeeze nipples for a few days and observe if you are getting any discharge as discharge in absence of pregnancy, breastfeeding or mechanical stimulation is considered abnormal.
If you continue to get it in absence of above mentioned conditions, you should visit a physician for physical examination and further investigations for possible conditions like galactorrhea, infection, intraductal papilloma etc.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.
