What Causes Milky Vaginal Discharge With Pain ?

I was having watery milky discharge with pain on my right labia. I was treated with flagyl prior to having a vaginal culture. While waiting for results I was given clotrimazole cream. My vaginal culture came back a week later it showed abundant wbc's, abundant gram positive bacilli, abundant epithelial cells. Negative for bacterial vaginosis, no yeast, no clue cells. I'm still having the symptoms, discharge is less though. MD decided not to give my anything else. What can it be?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The milky white discharge if it is associated with itching then could be due to an infection. If there are no other symptoms then it could be a normal vaginal discharge also.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
