Hi,
It appears from your history that you had irregular menses previously also. You started getting regular menses due to the birth control pills. Now that you have discontinued pills, again you have started having
irregular periods.
You seem to have some gross hormonal imbalance due to which you are getting
irregular menstruation. Please get your hormonal profile (Oestrogen,
Progesterone, FSH, LH,
Prolactin, T3, T4, TSH) done which will reflect the issue. Also, get
ultrasonography done to find out whether you are having Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome; though the chances are low since you are loosing weight. Since, you are not pregnant as revealed by pregnancy test, you may take some progestational preparation like Deviry for 5 days Within 4-7 days after discontinuing the pills, you will get menses.
However, please get investigated thoroughly to sort out the problem permanently. Please report to your Gynaecologist for a thorough medical examination to clinch the diagnosis and start the treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nishikant Shrotri
