What Causes Missed Period Despite A Negative Pregnancy Test Report?

My LMP 14/03/2017 .I have miss period since one week ago , but I did pregnancy test in blood not titer of HCG result negative, then I did ultrasound there is dominant follicle .so I want to ask what is the cause and if there is any chance for pregnancy

Hello.
Your cycle may be prolonged hence the dominant follicle is still present .
It will rupture in 48 hrs if it has reached size of 18 to 20 mm.
So have multiple episodes of sexual intercourse now to increase chance of pregnancy.
