What Causes Missed Periods And Bleeding From Nipples?

Hi doctor , i am 51 years old lady. It is the first time i had no menstrual cycle since two months. I noticed blood spots in my bra, since two days. Now i squeezed the areola , the bood come out from one of the Montgomery glands . I am scarred and worry. No lump, no pain no itching.

Hello,
The absence of the periods may be related to peri-menopause and the discharge from the nipples is unrelated. It could be due to some local infection or trauma, but, a thorough evaluation is necessary in view of the bloody nature of the discharge. Please see a specialist for a proper clinical evaluation and get investigated if deemed necessary. Please do not worry as early diagnosis makes treatment easy and it is not necessary that every discharge be serious. Hope you find this information helpful. Wish you good health.
