What Causes Missed Periods, No Signs Of Periods With Negative Pregnancy Test?

My period was supposed to start around the 17th and I'm having absolutely no signs of it starting. Usually I get a hint of it a day or 2 before it starts. I took an at home pregnancy test and it's negative. I'm not stressed and I haven't really changed anything else. Is it possible that the test was wrong and I am pregnant or is there something else that could be going on?

Hello madam, from the history you have given, delay in periods for 3 to 4 days is quite common. If you sexually active and haven't used any contraceptive mode, then pregnancy has to be ruled out first. Yes sometimes the urine pregnancy test may show faintly positive line or will not turn out to be positive, this is because of low levels of beta HCG in early weeks. In that case you may have to wait for another 3 or 4 days and repeat the test. If you cannot wait then you can do a serum beta HCG ( blood test ) for confirmation. Hope i was helpful to you.
